Agreed. Be skeptical of course. I am. But NB, I got this post and blog from one of the most respected Middle East U.S. military analysts and senior analysts at the the DIA (and West Point). Col. Patric Lang. A lot of the guys commenting on it are also former military commanders/analysts.
Thanks for your reply. We really must be skeptical on the internet. It’s quite ripe with disinformation. And that goes double for Arab sources and Russian sources.
I read your link; however, it assumes something not in the actual quote. It takes it a step beyond and then comments on that as if it were what he said.

Al-Masdar News was among the sites that picked up the false report.
We should be doubly suspicious of Arab sources and Russian sources (like RT). Those media are tightly controlled and anything that is not compliant with the government’s position will not make it out.
We should also be suspicious of U.S. sources - and all sources these days - but these in particular should be not believed until verified elsewhere.
