While ISIS death squads enforce an extreme version of Islam that punishes gays with death, the religion's history is far more nuanced. And like most relationships, when it comes to Islam and homosexuality it's complicated.
The death penalty is imposed in at least 10 countries: Afghanistan where the Orlando shooter's father was from Brunei, Iran, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, parts of Somalia, Sudan, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

They don’t consider that homosexuality. If the boys grow up and continue being the catchers, THAT’s homosexuality and must be punished.
To my knowledge, the killer said nothing about homosexuals or the need to kill them in the 911 tapes, Paul Ryan not withstanding.
I don’t think this had anything to do with killing homosexuals. I think this was all about killing a large group of Americans and he went to where he had the most familiarity with the surroundings, the gay night club where he spent much of his spare time. It was targeted only in the sense that he knew every square inch of the place.
I think it would be different if he had never been there before.
