How exactly is the EU a failed experiment as you say?
The EU has four aims
- To establish European citizenship. This means protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms.
- To ensure freedom, security and justice. ...
- To promote economic and social progress. ...
- To assert Europe's role in the world.
It's done these very well. How exactly is the EU (as opposed to the Euro) a failed experiment?

You left out bureaucratic zealotry that tries to regulate one’s very life. The zealotry is the problem for a free people. The zealortry and the unlinwillingness to even consider reform is reason enough for Brixit
