Defending the Donald: Republicans need to shrug off the media attacks on Trump

Just about every professional politician would have advised Trump to tone it down.

PLUS - POST IS HOIST BY ITS OWN URL: I've always respected the Washington Post's reporting - if not its extreme left-wing editorial pages.

But lately the two departments seem to have merged. If you doubt that, check this supposedly objective news article that caused Trump to ban Post reporters from covering his campaign.

It concerns Trump's response to the Orlando Shooting and the original headline was "Donald Trump Suggests Obama Was Involved with Orlando Shooting."

Trump did not say anything even remotely like that. The Post editors soon changed the headline to "Donald Trump Seems to Connect President Obama to the Orlando Shooting."

That headline is on the current version posted online. But when you read the URL you will find the old headline still intact as of Saturday.

I will have been in this business for 41 years as of September, but this is the most blatant example of media bias I've ever seen.

Correct that: It seems to be the most blatant example of media bias I've ever seen.

When you read the article, as well as the current headline, you see the phrase "seemed to" in the first paragraph.

Well, Santa Claus "seems to" come down chimneys on Dec. 25. The Easter Bunny "seems to" put candy in baskets.

This is not reporting. The job of the reporter is to relay what the person in question said, not what he "seemed to" have said.

Further on, the reporter tells us that Trump "slyly suggested" something else.

Sly to whom? Suggested to whom?

Then when you read Trump's actual words, there's no statement at all to the effect that Obama was "connected" - as the current headline states - to the shootings.

The way the media is framing up the situation:

A person attacks Trump; the media seizes upon it and reports that Trump has been attacked, he has been wounded, and magnifies it around the nation, and the story of the attack takes on a life of its own and courageous Republicans head for the tall grass.

Nicole Wallace, I suppose, is still talking about the supposed “take down” of Trump by Hillary Clinton.

She neglects to comment on the actual take down of Hillary Clinton by the FBI.

What the Wa Post and NY Times and Vice and Vox and Salon report doesn’t bother me so much because only lefties read them anyway.

But independents and moderate republicans watch the alphabets, and THAT’S what scares me.

Yes, the alphabets are the biggest problem for Trump with the uniformed, but pixxed off, watchers of same.

My continuing suggestion is to hammer educate on Muslims and La Raza militarized Hispanics, including, the truth about those judges, lawyers and other public officials who adhere to the groups idealogy.

The Dems are going to emasculate Trump with repeated lies, parsings of his words and twisting of the facts.
