PLEASE read that first sentence from the whitehouse.gov statement again.

The White House “invitation” from ValJar is NOT inviting callers to a conversation about excluding suspected terrorists on either the no-fly or terrorist watch lists, from buying guns.
The White House is inviting a “conversation” about THE ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN, having already laid the propaganda groundwork by yammering about no-fly and terrorist watch lists.
Your post indicates that this intentional obfuscation is working.

The White House pointedly does NOT give the bill’s number and does NOT invite low info voters to go and read it for themselves. Precisely because the WH wants people to be confused about what they’re actually for, or against.

Obama is intentionally practicing bait and switch, flipping back and forth between talk of “no guns for terrorists”—which a lot more people agree with—and “ban assault weapons” which low info folks assume “only a terrorist would want.”
The WH will then tell the congress and the media that “the people have spoken” and there is overwhelming public support for a total ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN and will try to ram it through.

H.R. 4269 is a COMPREHENSIVE, total gun ban/ confiscation bill which WILL GUT THE 2ND AMENDMENT AND CRIMINALIZE EVERYONE.

In a previous comment, I stated that in my 35+ years of living in Charlevoix,Mi. there has not been one murder committed with a firearm.I wish to correct that by stating there was one murder committed with a firearm while I lived there. A man Named David Goldstick, who I employed very briefly to level a floor in an apartment of mine, murdered a good man named Bill Brady, for an insignificant amount of money he (Goldstick) embezzled from our VFW Hall bingo fund. He is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of our friend.

I remember reading a test report on some rifle magazine years ago. The writer said the magazine was a jammer and then lips were so sharp you could use it as an assault magazine to slice and dice people.
