Always lock at least one door of the car with your key. That way you will never lock your keys in it.

One time, as a teenager learning the game of golf, I got a bit frustrated with myself with hitting a few good shots and then a few lousy ones. My Dad remarked, “Sure there are going to be ones better than someone like you, but just remember, there are others who’ve done worse”. Certainly not getting too cocky or arrogant by comparing oneself to others, but something like that helped me put mistakes and personal performance into a certain perspective.

“Don’t worry about money. You can always get a few bucks if you need to.”

He was right, of course.

We lost him on Jan. 2 2016. If the Cavs win the Finals tonight, we’ll know he has a DIRECT LINE.

Travel light through life, keep your affairs in order at all times, and in the end, your ordered affairs will bless your children. I am doing the same for our sons. (by affairs I mean in the business/money sense)
