We have been hearing this since Bob Dole. Yet the best the GOPe could manage was McLame and Mitt. The GOPe is almost as bad if not complicit with the damage done. We seem to be determined to destroy ourselves. Bread and circuses. Barbarian horde. Enemy inside the gates. Pretty much too late now.
While I agree there is a slim chance we could pull back from the brink the question is do we want to (collectively). So I will vote Trump and see. While I am enthusiastic about the fight I fear we have reached Churchil’s stage of “heavy losses and little or no chance of success”.
