I agree with what you said about Romney, IMO if he ran the same way in the General as the Primary I believe it would have been a very close race in 2012, ugly but close enough for it to have been competitive IMO.

I disagree with you about who drew first blood during this Primary Season I overwhelming belive it was Mr. Trump but that really doesn’t matter at this point.
The vitriol directed at Mr. Trump outside of the candidates was quite agressive and I think out of bounds, but with regard to the candidates attacking each other I don’t think the Donald took a backseat to anyone when getting down and dirty, we’ll just have to disagree on that.

As for the point of the article and thread: I think it is what those withholding their endorsements and their supporters withholding their votes and what they believe or perceive. That is unless the numbers indicate that Donald Trump can win regardless, and if that’s the case, to paraphrase Mrs. Clinton, what difference does it make if they endorse the nominee?

Kasich is one of those spoiled brat sore losers who put his marbles into a sock and went home. Now no one will want to play marbles with him.

I'm going to say it: Soros is one of Kasich's biggest donors. Another one is a construction company that gets a whole lot of business from projects that suck up state money.

Kasich signed a pledge to support Trump. Honoring that pledge would be what an independent person with integrity would do. Kasich sold his soul to the devil, and he has no integrity left.

How does Kasich remain as Governor during the convention? This creates an awkward situation in Cleveland. Kasich SHOULD NOT be representing the state at the convention!

PS: The only signs in lawns in these parts are for Trump. Kasich doesn't represent us, by any indication.

Do these guys really think that the liberals will like them any more just because they are attacking Trump?

Sadly yes. They so desperately want to be loved by the media that they go out of their way to make them happy. The problem is that most of the RINOs have no principles and only have a thirst for power and adulation.

Record number voters in the primaries selected Trump, and these life-long politicians are sure to push Trump run independent.

Used to be we have to vote for a moderate to win in GE, now Trump is not a conservative, who are these turds imposing a purity test again?

I just don’t get it.////

Since a few of them haven’t honored the pledge, they should be barred from the convention. Who would miss Bush, Cruz, Kashich, and Fiorina.

Kasich is/was pretty popular in Ohio.

He is indicative of Ohio as a voting bloc - Ohio and Pennsylvania both leave me flummoxed....the big cities step on the rest and the rest never seem to care.

“Of course Trump won with ideas. What do you think was and is so popular with the GOP base? All the common sense policies that the base has wanted and the elites have refused - deporting illegals, putting America first, bring companies back, quit importing people who want to kill us.

The others lost because they backed the establishment’s agenda. Trump only bludgeoned them with his fresh ideas and by refusing to be PC and speaking the truth. If they couldn’t handle it, they’d never be able to handle Hillary. But that wasn’t why they quit - it was because voters didn’t want them.”

I was going to post the same thing. You said it perfectly.

I wouldn’t bar them from the convention. Let them clean the toilets.

As for speaking roles... NEVER! I like Trump’s idea of not boring us to death with a bunch of self-serving politicians.

Kasich and the others DEMANDED that Mr. Trump
make that promise, but their words means NOTHINIG.

The GOP are composed of LIARS, ENABLERS, and TRAITORS
from their own Promises re: endorsement ... to ObamaCARE.

Self-serving LIARS all.

Principled UNIPARTY comrades. Kasich, along with other former gang members (Barack, Hillary), in the Gang of 535 should be in federal prison.

This needs to be repeated daily and shoved down Kasich throat...

I've always felt he knew more than he shared...

so time for him to share what he knew...

BUT WE KNOW HE WON'T BECAUSE HE WILL BE SLAMMED AND OHIOANS WILL DESPISE HIM.

I'VE NEVER LIKED THE PHONY LIAR.

There must be so much more money available for these weak men in the current farmhouse with Hillary, as opposed to a Trump presidency.

An administration based on merit and results, favoring the American people? That must scare them to death.

So you think The Donald's strategy that put away 16 or so of his opponents is somehow going to turn into a losing strategy in the general election. I must say it doesn't sound very logical to me. Why is it when it comes to Trump that supposed intelligent people sacrifice all credibility? My theory is that decisive leaders like Trump will always have a cadre of detractors yapping at their heels because in the detractors’ upside down world they view decisiveness as a sign of weakness and insecurity. Indeed, this is how the Hildibeast has described Trump's decisiveness. They subscribe to the professorial committee approach of problem solving, where nothing gets done, but most importantly, no one can be held accountable. They believe Trump needs to “tone it down” to move to that happy middle ground. This Obozo/Kerry/Hildibeast, ‘don't stand decisively for anything approach’ is just another way of saying you must film flam or placate (lie) to everyone, especially your die-hard opponents. It has now become politically correct and expected that politicians must pussy foot around the edges of issues, which is viewed as the refined, sophisticated political way of doing business where all sides are doped into believing they have won something. In reality, everyone loses along with the country. Just look at where this BS nice guy approach to politics has gotten our country.
