Apparently, Daesh is kind of a local insult and pun that means “one who sows discord.”
Apparently, ISIS flogs people, or even cuts out the tongue of people, who use the word “Daesh.”
John Kerry says daesh.
The Levant is almost precisely coterminous with the area described in the Bible as the Promised Land (for Israel).
The incompetent FBI chief calls them ISIL,,,,,,that’s all you need to know about him.

As I suspect someone has told you by now, the Levant includes the Holy Land, so the Three Muzzieteers mentioned above are essentially saying that the caliphate includes ....Israel.

Sorry, this organization dates all the way back to 1999 in Jordan. They have changed names several times and were affiliated with al Qaeda for a few years. They broke with them and now compete with them and for the role of Sunni Jihad leader.

To me his constantly saying ISIL is a code to the Palestinians that he supports their mission to eliminate the State of Israel. Just like his old 57 states in the USA “gaffe”, he knows how many states there are. It was a wink wink nod nod to his Islamic buddies referring to 57 Islamic States. “I’m not forgetting who put me behind the wheel of this new Caddy”...bow, bow, Allah Akbar. :(
It’s a very simple distinction ....ISIS is a movement, ISIL is a caliphate and sovereign nation......
By calling the organization ISIL, Obama conveys a level of respect and distinction to these scumbags....

ISIL means Islamic State of Syria and The Levant which includes Syria, Iraq, Israel, Jordan,Lebanon, the Sinai , ect. In other words, Obama, the proud father of ISIS , has much more ambitious goals for his his young child
The Sham is an old Arabic name for the Levant area. The Islamic State guys, like the Muslim Brotherhood and the State religion of Saudi Arabia, all consider themselves as salafis - philosophical throwbacks to the early days of Islam. They love to use the old archaic terms from medieval times, like al Sham for the Levant, and Khorasan for the Afghanistan area.
Ironically, the killer in Orlando used the version ISIS.
The Levant is an historic name for the lands to the east of the Mediterranean--from the French word meaning the rising of the sun. So there is nothing inherently sinister in the term, but it's possible Obama does use it because he hopes that all the lands to the east of the Mediterranean (including Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon) will become part of the new caliphate. Or he could just be trying to show that he is more brilliant than anyone else.
And when Rush broke to commercial, he was asked, why does Obama use ISIL. Rush: “Out of respect?” They are all getting very close to calling Obama a Muslim. Rush actually today gave a little education on Islam...including Bayat.
