White House Watch: Clinton 44%, Trump 39%
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 6-16-16 | Rasmussen Reports

Posted on 06/16/2016 2:51:49 PM PDT by Angels27

With Donald Trump under increasing criticism from leaders in his own party, Hillary Clinton has moved to a five-point lead in Rasmussen Reports’ latest weekly White House Watch survey.

A new national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Clinton with 44% support to Trump’s 39%. Fourteen percent (14%) still prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Clinton moved to a 42% to 38% lead last week after wrapping up her party’s nomination by winning the California Democratic primary. The two had been in a virtual tie prior to that. Trump’s support has remained frozen around the 40% mark in surveys since late April.

Among voters who consider the mass murders in Orlando, Florida this past weekend primarily a terrorist attack, Trump leads Clinton 64% to 16%. Clinton posts an 83% to four percent (4%) lead among those who see the killings as chiefly a gun control issue.

Well better than that poll had Trump down by 12%, but still very upsetting.

"mong voters who consider the mass murders in Orlando, Florida this past weekend primarily a terrorist attack, Trump leads Clinton 64% to 16%. Clinton posts an 83% to four percent (4%) lead among those who see the killings as chiefly a gun control issue."

I thought they were right in 2008 ?? But Trump was ahead a month ago so he needs to regroup and get back to what works.

You had to expect a bounce for Cankles after the Bern got extinguished. It’s June. The real fight hasn’t even started.

The GOPe says Trump can’t win the general. Just to prove it their point, they are gonna sabotage him.

Show me the methodology and sample sizes or it’s meaningless. This is well within the MOE of any properly constructed poll.

So the GOPE is helping Hillary and the democrats.

Assholes.

I’m afraid Trump has to fight a uphill battle against entire Uniparty and their donor masters. Trump won the battle against the GOPe, now he has to fight the joint force of the “right” and the left elites. Can he do that, does he have the energy he had in the GOP primaries? I believe so, I believe Trump will pull out the magic that is necessary to win.

Now is not the time to "go wobbly" as Margaret Thatcher would say. We are in for a very rough summer with regard to Trump. The mainstream media and DNC are in cahoots and will go all out to point a narrative that Trump is losing the race and that people are turning away from Trump's "message of hate" and whatnot.

For the past year, they had tried destroying Trump with wall-to-wall coverage of his "gaffes" and controversial statements. But that only resulted in Trump rising in the polls.

Now the media will try a different tack. They will reduce their coverage of him and will try to make it seem that he is no longer worthy of their attention. This too will backfire as Trump no longer needs the media to get his message out.

So stay strong and don't go wobbly!

The way I read it, it breaks down candidate support based on how respondents viewed the attack.

Makes since that among the idiots that view the attack as a gun control issue, they support Hillary heavily. Dumb and dumber comes to mind.

Trump tends to lead among independents but his support among republicans is only 73%. This is what’s killing him. The VP pick will be crucial.

Trump’s already regrouping. A lot of the damage was when Gingrich and Ryan spoke out against one of Trump’s initiatives. Now, I get the feeling that Trump has cleaned house, and he knows who his friends are.

Reince was on twitter today, and he tweeted that all this MSM is not true...

I did hear some gossip today at the grocery store, I guess Romney is really putting a lot of pressure on Ryan to not support Trump and he’s caught in the middle...my reply was: He got himself there, and if he doesn’t have the balls to stand up to Romney, he can go vote for Hillary....well I wasn’t quite when I said it, and it got a lot of people’s attention...they looked like I slapped them all in the face, and I hope it stung!!!

How Good were Rasmussen Poll numbers in June 2012 ?....

Where they way off then back in June 2012 ?..

Your comparing the Last POLL before Election day in 2012 to a June 2016 poll that is Five months out ?.

What is your point here ?
