President Barack Obama owns the dubious presidential record for ordering flags lowered to half-staff, having issued the directive 66 times during his tenure, USA Today reports.
The country is in the middle of No. 66 to honor the 49 people killed in Sunday's massacre in Orlando. George W. Bush is second with 58 such orders and Bill Clinton third at 50, USAT reports.
Fourteen times Obama has ordered the flag lowered at federal buildings and ships at sea due to mass shootings. Honoring the victims from each of those events has accounted for 79 days with flags at half-staff.

Obama, not only does he have flags flown at half staff, but his progressive, left wing programs and policies are responsible for most of the events for which the flag is flown at half staff.
BTW, as we all know, Omar Mateen was a gay Muslim democrat terrorist murderer.
Since this nation is in deep trouble, why not have them at half staff and raise them to full staff only when we have good news to trumpet. With the Kenyan in office, that would be almost never.

Then there was Boston Bombings, San Bernadino, Paris, Belgium, Orlando, Libya Attacks. That’s all I can recall at this time. It’d be interesting to have a list though.
I’m in Maryland as well and currently in the throes of a deepening depression.
When I heard Katy Tur report last week that Trump told donors at Trump Tower he was thinking of putting our state in play, I immediately called Hogan’s office and implored them to everything possible to help deliver MD for Trump in November. Hogan had stayed on the sidelines in the primary and I was hoping to impress upon him what was at stake. The very next day, I learned that he didn’t even want to talk about Trump and doesn’t plan on attending the convention. This week, he flatly declared he will not be voting for Trump in November! What an outrage that he cannot respect and honor the will of the voters in his state who overwhelmingly supported Mr. Trump in all 23 counties, 8 CDs and with a clean sweep of delegates!
I pray that our country soon, under President Trump, regains its standing as the beacon of hope, opportunity and freedom it once symbolized!!
Just this last 2 semesters I swear at least half the time flags were lowered as I drove in past the display. Some of that was MD only, not fed. But dismaying regardless!
Whatever happened to “heads of state” only?
