Dems quietly slipping gun control into mental-health bill

A group of Democrats fueled by the Orlando LGBT nightclub murders committed by Omar Mateen – a Muslim who touted his allegiance to ISIS during a 9-1-1 call placed amid the shootings – are planning to slip a couple gun-control measures into a bill by Rep. Tim Murphy that’s supposed to focus on mental health.

The bill, which is slated for House Energy and Commerce Committee consideration on Wednesday, was already under fire for perceived anti-liberty language, as WND previously reported.

But the gun control measures are new, added just after the Orlando shootings that left 49 dead and 53 injured.

A subject I’ve brought up in the past.

What about all the kids, mostly boys, that the Dept of ED and cohorts put on Ritalin and similar drugs?
A disqualification to own a firearm even when they are grown? Bet the libs try it.

You cannot deny a constitutional right with out due process. That is notice and hearing by Jury of your peers!! The burden is on the GOVERNMENT. Putting someone on a LIST!! You have to be kidding me. They will put all White Male Christians on and leave muslims and gang bangers in Chicago off. Trump will join the NRA to demand DUE PROCESS Go Trump!! ( be sure the government hearing is inside the 3 day waiting period and within 5 miles of the residence of the US Citizen denied the sale!!

That is Tim Murphy's Bill.

If you don't know about him, he is a mental health professional that is trying to address the issues of mental health dysfunctionality across multiple DC Platforms without destroying the 2nd amendment.

Watch some of his videos on CSpan, IMHO he is one of the good guys.

Dang the DNC types for adding poison pill(s) to his legislation which would make a difference, they can't have that, it is all about the agenda, which is control.

Those drugs are too well-proven for that to fly. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they went after those on antidepressants though, and that’s a much larger crowd anyway.

If they want to do gun control that way, they should recognize liberalism as a mental illness and ban all democrats from firearm ownership.

If they want to do something effective they need moslem control not gun control.

Here's one condition that won't make it into the lexicon of mental illness:

hoplophobia
n. Irrational, morbid fear of guns (coined by Col. Jeff Cooper, from the Greek "hoplites," weapon). May cause sweating, faintness, discomfort, rapid pulse, nausea, sleeplessness, more, at mere thought of guns. Hoplophobes are common and should never be involved in setting gun policies. Point out hoplophobic behavior when noticed, it is dangerous, sufferers deserve pity, and should seek treatment. When confronted, hoplophobes typically go into denial, a common characteristic of the affliction. Often helped by training, or by coaching at a range, a process known to psychiatry as "desensitization," often useful in treating many phobias.
Also: Hoplophobe, hoplophobic.
Ex: The person liberal Democrat gun-grabber had hoplophobia and passed out at the mere sight of a gun.

Due process and the rule of law went out the window in January of 2009. What we have now is selective law enforcement and selective justice.
And again, the repubs sit still and watch it happen.

What does energy and commerce have to do with mental health?

There truly needs to be a constitutional amendment that bills cannot be longer than 10 pages. Or if that’s too arbitrary, no law should have more words than the constitution itself has. That would stop this sort of crap.

These ad on amendments to unrelated bills go against the spirit of the U.S. Constitution. Anything done in “secret” is usually evil.

If they’re going to ban “assault rifles”, that means NOBODY gets them - especially the taxpayer funded security guards for the liars, thieves and perverts. A BAN IS TOTAL, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Congress need to pass a law stating that is any senator or congressman brings to the floor a bill that violates the Constitution that the originator and all those who voted for that law are immediately impeached and removed from office. This means even after a SCOTUS ruling down the road.

Maybe then the junk being brought to the floor would be inspected by the originator first.

You want to change the Constitution, fine. Do it in the manner the Constitution has laid out. Not through back door weasel-dom.

I agree. I also feel that there is nothing so urgent that any congressman should ever cast a vote without being able to say (truthful) that they read the bill. This cramming stuff like healthcare through in the dark of night without anyone reading the bills because of some fake crisis is hogwash meant to give air cover to congressmen stealing our rights.

Let’s insist that they slip homosexual behavior into the law as well, as a mental health issue.

Also in terms understandable to IQs of 80 or higher with a typical 8th grade education. Like the second amendment.

Well if you want the average congressman to understand it, let's keep it to 80 or below.
