I have a Trapdoor carbine that will just about remove ones teeth when fired and makes the 03' a breath of fresh air. I made the mistake of firing it rapidly after a dismount and will not do it again unless I have a solid shoulder set.
First big bore rifle I ever fired was a 45-70 Trapdoor Springfield made in the 1870s. Yeah, it kicked all right, but I did fire 5 rounds through it. I was 14.
