Jesus wasn't extolling the power of the miracles He was performing. He was giving a scathing rebuke to the Jews of that time and place who witnessed these miracles and yet still rejected Him.
But look AT WHO WOULD ACCEPT.
Can you take a rebuke by comparison?
And indeed, to further this rebuke, I would point out that Jesus said the adulteresses were entering the kingdom of God, before the Pharisees were!

The admonitions that Jesus Christ gives to this third group are the most sobering and powerful passages in the Gospels. The people He was addressing were not "goofballs" by any stretch.
