SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Authorities in Santa Monica arrested an Indiana man Sunday morning ahead of the LA PRIDE parade in nearby West Hollywood after the discovery of possible explosives in a car, according to California law enforcement.
Just before 3 p.m. ET, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti told the Associated Press a heavily armed man was arrested, and that man told police during his arrest he was going to the PRIDE parade. Investigators removed items from the suspect's white Acura sedan and placed them on the sidewalk near the driver's side door, according to KNBC.
Santa Monica Chief of Police Jacqueline Seabrooks identified the suspect on her official Twitter feed as James Howell of Indiana. She said Howell told officers he wanted to harm the PRIDE event. Chief Seabrooks said he was arrested for weapons and explosive materials possession.

I think the explosive was tannerite. Hardly a super explosive, but I guess if deployed in the right way it could do some damage. Maybe.

I see twiiter comments that say the killer in Orlando was not anti gay because he was Muslim. likewise this guy is not Muslim but he is anti-gay.

I too wondered if this was government initiated. What is his background? I thought it extremely coincidental that James Holmes, the Colorado theater shooter had his undergraduate degree in neuroscience - makes me wonder if the CIA has programs similar to the MK Ultra again.
This Howell guy has the same spooky look in the eyes as Holmes, the Sandy Hook shooter, and Dylan Roof.

local news reports he was in that area on a specific street, knocking on doors, looking for ‘a buddy’ who supposedly was to accompany him. One of the homes thought he was a prowler, and dropped a dime.
