The suspected Islamic extremist who killed about 50 people after taking party-goers hostage inside a gay club in Orlando has been identified.
Law enforcement sources have identified the shooter, who was wielding an AR-15 assault rifle and a handgun, as US citizen Omar Mateen, 29, from Port St. Lucie in Florida.
At least 50 people were killed and 53 others were injured in the shooting in the deadliest mass shooting in US history.
An FBI spokesman said the mass shooting is being investigated as an act of terrorism, (DOH!!!!!!)

They'll "empathize" with the gay community, but in the very next breath they'll be giving their lectures about Islamophobia and calling anyone a racist who points out that Islamic terrorists may be from any country, speak any language, come from any socio-economic level, have any educational background, be of any age or gender or culture, and the only thing they have in common is Islam. As far as US politics I see the DM as non-politically correct and as straight shooters. Rush Limbaugh has complimented them more than a few time times and they even got in touch with him to say thanks.
