Well John, just shows how stupid and ineffective CCW permits are. If you really want to protect yourself, you need to not give anyone any indication that you are carrying a firearm for personal protection.

He had a Class D and a class G license (must be renewed every 2 years. So he was on the radar, but got a G and D and renewed them since being on radar. Gun Laws did nothing in this attack except to insure that he was the only person with a firearm. I would think the management of this place would WANT a few people to bring their weapons, though it would be helpful for them to know who. At my church we have CC folks present and make sure the usher crew knows who they are, in case of indications of possible trouble, so they can be alerted..
