D.L. Hughley on Trump: ‘You Can’t Be a Little Pregnant and You Can’t Be a Little Racist’

D.L. Hughley isn’t one of the Kings of Comedy for nothing.

While visiting MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning to promote his new book Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years, the 53-year-old comedian had some biting words for presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“I think he’s a racist,” he told host Joe Scarborough when asked about what he thought of Trump. “You can’t equivocate. If I’m in a car, and somebody I’m with commits a crime, I can’t make a reasonable argument that I didn’t know.”

“And I think you can’t be a little bit pregnant, and I don’t think you can be a little bit racist.”

“This will be the Dem meme for the campaign. Trump is a racist and is too dangerous to have access to the nuclear codes.”

Exactly, and he needs to get out ahead of this and go on the offensive. This is the only meme that's had any traction, and they are otherwise desperate. I would not, however, fall into the trap about racism. I would dismiss that with something along the lines of:

“Racist? That all they got? The same old race card the democrats and their friends in the press always pull out? Pleeeaaasssee! First, Mexico is not a race. It's a sovereign country and our neighbor, and it also has diversity in its population - although probably not as much as we do. My comments about judge Curiel, upon which I continue to stand, were predicated on his expressed and demonstrated ideology and how that ideology might influence his ability to fairly adjudicate a case involving a person, me, who doesn't agree with his ideology.

He has aligned himself, publicly, with groups that don't want us to secure our own southern border, and I am steadfast in my defense of our right to maintain our borders and our sovereignty - just like Mexico has a right to the immigration policies and border enforcement that they choose as a sovereign nation. And by the way, Mexico's southern border security and immigration policy is much tougher than ours. It's clearly legitimate for me to be concerned about getting a fair shake from someone who opposes my commitment to ensure that people immigrate here legally - protecting America's right to sovereignty and the safety of our proudly diverse citizens.

There are many, many, many of Mexican heritage, either by birth, second generation, third generation, or whatever the case, who are among are most patriotic and exemplary citizens. Over a half-million Latinos, including 350,000 Mexican-Americans served our nation in WWII. Over 170,000 Hispanics served in Vietnam, and over 3000 died there. I love them, as Americans, and I honor their contributions to this great and diverse nation. Those who are still with us, their children, and their grandchildren deserve the great America they fought for, and that is what we are fighting for. To have those without honor, including those who have handled American secrets with disdain and carelessness, to attempt to derail those efforts by waving a false, inappropriate, and destructive flag of racism where there is none is reckless at best.”

I would bet that those who work for Trump represent a much broader and diverse group than those who work for Hillary, or Bill, or pretty much any of the Democrat hierarchy. That should be researched and used as well.

Yup! Angered me more when I consider the gentile snowflakes who are offended by the word “it”. They are ungrateful snots and should be kissing the ground every morning that they live here and weren’t hatched in some 3rd world s**thole. They don’t have a ciue just how horrible their protected, insignificant little lives could be.

I know racism, because it takes a racist to spot a racist. Of course when you match up what I've done for others who do not belong to my race and what Trump has done for others not in his race, I guess I am just projecting my racism.

Speaking of not being just “a little bit racist”, watch this “person” and then tell me he doesn’t epitomize racism.

“She is for reasons of who knows, a militant social liberal representative of many like herself.”

As most corporate liberals, she can afford to be.

I’m sick to death of this racist labeling crap!

I wasn’t racist until the American negroes started burning their neighborhoods down and killing cops! I wasn’t racist until I’d had about two weeks of an Obama administration foisted on this nation by low-IQ and low information voters.

I wasn’t racist until the perverted cancer in the White Hut began importing Muslims to slime up neighborhoods, cities and the nation. I wasn’t racist until that same pervert allowed a torrent of illegals to swarm over our border and allowed those here to stay.

I’m racist and with Hitlery ‘running’ for president I’m a femaleaphobe. I detest Democrat and moderate females.

Judge is a racist clown. Even though he’s a Caucasian he hates gringos. He is a member of La Raza and his parents never became citizens so....the judge is a Mexicano.

Si.

All over and repetetive. Trump is a racist is the MSM meme today. One poll? indicates 50% of those queried think Trump’s racist. Many of those who do not think Trump racist think remark wrong.

I want Donald to win. He is the country’s only hope. I do not believe he is a racist. But America is easily propagandized.

If the Judge is a member of La Raza or has been supportive of that take back America group, couldn’t Donald say the Judge is the racist? Over and over?

And actually you CAN be a little bit racist, and almost everybody is...

"Almost"?

Everyone's a little bit racist today
So, everyone's a little bit racist, okay
Ethnic jokes might be uncouth
But you laugh because they're based on truth
Don't take them as personal attacks
Everyone enjoys them, so relax

“Racist” is quickly losing its original meaning, and has come to be applied inappropriately so often, it soon loses its power altogether.”

George Orwell (Eric Blair) in his `Politics and the English Language’ pointed out that in the `30s and `40s (he fought along with socialists in the Spanish civil war, but saw their theory in practice, particularly the Stalinists, then described it in the allegorical novel `Nineteen Eighty-four’), socialists (communists) would use the word “fascist” so much that it lost its meaning completely, e.g.
“That fascist waiter is ignoring us ... my fascist landlord ... “ and so forth and so on until the term “fascist” came to mean, he wrote, nothing more than: “something I find objectionable”.

That’s where we’re at now. `Racist’ doesn’t mean any longer `hatred or intolerance of another race or other races’. When the left uses the term now, because it has been corrupted by them to mean “Anyone opposed to my agenda, or anything I find objectionable,” the term “racist” now is meaningless.

So I’m going to disagree. It isn’t losing its meaning. When used by the left it has lost its meaning entirely.
