The article is Not misleading.

READ the research info I provided, *specifically:

“The ERAD Prepaid Card Reader is a small, handheld device that uses wireless connectivity to *allow law enforcement officers in the *field to check the balance of cards. This allows for identification of suspicious prepaid cards and the *ability to put a temporary hold on the linked funds until a full investigation can be completed.”

So, Any magnetic stripe card you possess and their affiliated bank accounts are fair game for civil asset forfeiture and can be inspected and frozen / seized All Without a criminal charge or due process.

This is a constitutional rights show stopper, ie: 4th & 5th.

RE: “The article posted implied that your bank account could be seized, card or not.

It was very misleading.”

First time the cops do this and it screws up somebody’s credit rating because they miss a payment due to this type of seizure...cops will lose their asses. This is a stupid and shortsighted move on OK’s part.

You referenced funds that were linked to cards. I never disputed that,

That article referred to seizing bank accounts, with no mention of cards.

It WAS misleading.
