Why are people who don’t want to use a bank or walk around with cash rabid? When we are dealing with financial institutions who will re-arrange debit charge order so they can impose the max overdraft fines, and this is considered legal, it makes people not trust the banks. If a person ends up owing that bank because of the overdraft fines, they will not be able to open another account. There are a lot of young people, guys especially, living paycheck to paycheck, and a few hundred dollars is a lot of money to them. Child support is also put into prepaid cards, as is student loan money. Get out of your ivory tower and see how a lot of people live. Sure, there is a lot of money mismanagement out there, but that shouldn’t make people fair game for government theft.
