4-in-10 GOP insiders want to derail Trump at the convention
Politico ^ | June 10, 2016 | Steven Shepard

After a rocky start to his general-election campaign, a sizable number of GOP insiders want the party to change the rules to short-circuit Donald Trump’s nomination at the July national convention. Nearly four-in-10 Republican members of The POLITICO Caucus — a panel of activists, operatives and strategists in 10 key states — would like to see changes that could deny Trump the party’s nod after the presumptive nominee began the November campaign without a credible campaign structure, in addition to making a series of erratic and inflammatory comments. Among the comments was a recent suggestion that an American-born judge presiding over a civil suit in which he is a defendant can’t be impartial because of the judge’s Mexican heritage.

I’m surprised it is only 40% of the “Politico caucus.” I would think that bunch would be more on the order of 80% #NeverTrump.

EXACTLY.
WTF is the Politico Caucus, and why should I give 2 sh!ts?
They do list the people with the qualifier:
“Not all Politico DBags took part in the poll”
Meaning who knows, it is a worthless poll done by democrats to submarine Trumps destruction of Hildebeast.
Something tells me that Trump will continue to get more and more support, demolishing her in the finals.

Stated another way: 60% of GOP insiders support Trump.

How many will defend him? How many defended him yesterday?

Trump's opponents trashed Trump all day long yesterday.

The only way to stop this is to speak up now. Inform the Grand High Panjandrums of the GOPe that if they don't want to accept the result of our votes, they will not get our votes in November -- not for their "replacement" Presidential candidate, not for their down-ticket candidates, not for anything down to and including dog-catcher.

Being 'in ten'(t) will not be of any protection to them. They will be beaten just as badly if they were to be on the outside looking into the ten(t) When the shoe comes down anything under the sole will be squished like a bug.

I’ve been wondering about this because I know some people in my home state who are well placed in politics and one is a delegate. She was very much pro-Cruz and she has been unusually quiet since Cruz left the race.

Sounds like me. Never have I detested both candidates running. The only reason I’m voting for Trump is because I detest Hillary more, plus my Senator Cruz will still be in the Senate to keep Trump from going hard left.

"Rules are rules, and the blowback from that will do more damage to the down ballot in every state more than we can calculate — more than a massive Trump loss at the top would do,” said a Florida Republican.“

This is WOAH!!!

No.

Ignore the minority report, unite the party, bring in persuadable voters, and win. Everyone wants a winner. If he loses it is all for nought.

I dream Trump could humble himself, surreptitiously attend Romney's conference off the political record, privately, and ask face to face for forgiveness and reconciliation as a Christian brother for anyone there he has personally offended, with Dr. Ben Carson at his side.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” ― Marcus Tullius Cicero

“Among the comments was a recent suggestion that an American-born judge presiding over a civil suit in which he is a defendant can’t be impartial because of the judge’s Mexican heritage.”

He didn’t say that. He did not generalize in that manner. He said in this specific case. Not that pointing that out matters.

Romney is holding a summit that is discussing how to rebuild the GOP after November. I loathe that man.

I hear you. I never thought I would have such disdain for someone running for office. I am at the point where I can’t stand the sight of Hillary Clinton. I hate her horse teeth which are displayed when she cackles, I hate the cackles, I hate the way she cackles at inappropriate times, I hate the nodding of the head when people ask her questions, I hate her hair which looks like she’s wearing a helmet, I hate the hectoring and condescending tone of voice and lectures to us about how wonder whatever liberal policy she is pushing is, I hate the sounds of the voice which is like nails on the chalkboard, etc. etc. etc.
