If I’d been there, I would have assumed the woman with the gun was part of the act too, just like the old woman fan who gets hit over the head with a chair just before the start of the match.
[Note: If she pointed the gun at me or at a family member, I would assume it was real and act accordingly.]

I remember the olden days when THE GREAT BOLO (Al Lovelock) got into a great argument and fight with another wrestler on local Tulsa TV! They were gonna have it OUT with the BIG MATCH that week! Come on down and pay your money and watch this GRUDGE MATCH!
That week, in a very small blurb on the sports page of the Tulsa World, it was mentioned that THE GREAT BOLO was carried out on a stretcher.
He was Wrestling again the next week.

Speaking of which, how do we know she wasn’t also part of the act? Look for her to show up in tights in the ring, as the daughter of Haystack Calhoun.
