“I used to know someone who used THC for glaucoma. By prescription, too.”

Was he burning that “prescription” joint up in his emptied out blunt? Or was it in a medicine form, properly encapsulated, without the toxic fumes degenerating everybody around him?

After watching Kasich in the primaries, I am convinced he was smoking the medical marijuana

"Very instructive"

They were also probably hoping Cruz would make a run for the nomination at the convention.

Dead-enders.

Marijuana prohibition is dead and it won't be coming back.

It's a historical aberration. MJ was not illegal in biblical times, nor does the Bible say it should be prohibited. I cannot think of any historical examples of mj prohibition prior to the Progressive Era. Can you?

No.

He was a 50-something engineer taking internal medication. It was experimental. He was trying to keep his sight and his job. He worked for NOAA.

I know it’s a topic of jest, but there have been legitimate reasons to use THC for medical reasons.

And no, I don’t like it.

I also know people who have had broken backs, needing pain medication. Rather than opioids, they can use this. Hospitals and doctors are really going against pain meds.

American Progressives made both marijuana and alcohol illegal early in the last century.

They were able to make the pot prohibition stick.

So thats worth denying it to the people who really need it? “Sorry sir, I know marijuana really helps with your symptoms, but if we let you have it, then some 17 year old kid might get high behind the high school.”

Yeah, thats logical. Remind me again; we’re supposed to be small government types, right?

Legalizing wacky weed just for medical purposes is not ending prohibition, it’s the beginning of tax paying subsidies and the abuse of disability claims.

There is no problem with thousands of doctors writing scrips for big pharma chemically manufactured pain kill drugs. They do this 25 million times a day. Does anyone think these are all legitimate and necessary perscriptions? Come on.

I’m sorry.

Someone I know gets regular epidurals for his pain. Imagine. ‘Regular’ epidurals.

I didn’t say I opposed legalizing MJ for those it would help, just stating what will be the reality: most feigning illness to legally obtain the pot.

Now anyone who had a toothache when they were a kid can legally use pot. Just what we need, more stoners getting increasingly apathetic with every toke.

I have heard there are people that use marijuana for pain, suppose it helps, probably less expensive, which is probably the reason.

What’s going on in Colorado?

Among the states, it has one of the highest GDP growth rates (5th highest last I checked), one of the lowest rates of unemployment (5th lowest) and is #3 in rate of population growth. Welfare payments are lower than most states and below national average.

Other than that, it's a mess!
