I remember Watergate. A lot of people who thought Nixon was doing a good job as President nonetheless supported his impeachment on the greater principle of upholding the rule of law.

So true. Republicans manned up and did the right thing when it came to Nixon, but Watergate wasn’t a treasonous episode the way Hillary’s e-mail scandal is.
