There Are More White Voters Than People Think. That’s Good News for Trump.
The New York Times ^ | 06/09/2016 | Nate Cohn

Posted on 06/09/2016 10:57:10 AM PDT by MaxistheBest

One of the biggest reasons Donald Trump is considered to be a long shot to win the presidency is the diversity of the country.

As Joe Scarborough of MSNBC put it, “There are not enough white voters in America for Donald Trump to win while getting routed among minorities.”

But a growing body of evidence suggests that there is still a path, albeit a narrow one, for Mr. Trump to win without gains among nonwhite voters.

New analysis by The Upshot shows that millions more white, older working-class voters went to the polls in 2012 than was found by exit polls on Election Day. This raises the prospect that Mr. Trump has a larger pool of potential voters than generally believed.

The wider path may help explain why Mr. Trump is competitive in early general election surveys against Hillary Clinton. And it calls into question the prevailing demographic explanation of recent elections, which held that Barack Obama did very poorly among whites and won only because young and minority voters turned out in record numbers. This story line led Republicans to conclude that they had maximized their support from white voters and needed to reach out to Hispanics to win in 2016.

Nate Cohn needs to give us democrat numbers:

What’s the average education level of Hillary’s supporters?

Education level of Bernie’s supporters?

Average income of Hillary supporters.

Average income of Bernie’s supporters.

Let’s make some small attempt at not being a biased jerk Nate Cohn ...

“One of the biggest reasons Donald Trump is considered to be a long shot to win the presidency is the diversity of the country.” What’s this schmuck smoking?
Trump will win in a landslide and this ash hole is just now beginning to realize this. 81% of Evangelicals 26% of Blacks 37% of Hispanics and Hillary getting record low 28% of White males! “Trump a long shot” No jackass Hillary is the long shot.

Key point.

There is no “UNDO” button in the election process. Once the election results are certified, it’s done. The winner, even if by only one vote, gets to claim 100% of the right to exercise power in the name of the people.

Trump, who I don’t particularly like or feel is qualified to be president, understands what is required to win and plans on doing it. He managed to eliminate 18 other primary opponents, including some good politicians, to claim the nomination.

It is probably going to be the nastiest presidential election in modern memory.

I just hope he brings an “A” game effort with a properly staffed and experienced get-out-the-vote team (including a FUNCTIONING and TESTED IT-based voter management system).

Actually according to the article, more like 75%. More importantly, significantly higher than that in key swing states like Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Trump needs to trade on his reputation as a deal maker.

There is going to be an immigration deal in the future.

My idea of a possible deal:
1. they stay
2. Amendment XIV birthplace immigration goes away by Constitution amendment - newborns to get citizenship of their mom
3. tax/fine/revenue/benefit caps placed on all levels of government by Constitutional amendment
4. they pay:
a. standard/expedited USCIS fees
b. 10% of “total income” additional to the Old Age Social Security Trust Fund as a contractual contribution for the rest of their lives
c. $300/year each to Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation for each of 10 years as a contractual contribution
d. a $5,000 federal fee by August 15, 2020 to be able to get/retain a drivers license in the USA (plus the regular state fees)
e. $500 wall fee each
5. Income caps until the Constitutional amendments are ratified and wall in place.

Trump is the only one able to do a deal before 2020.

Don’t let any politician fool you, ‘cheap labor’ Republicans and ‘anything for a vote’ Democrats want the scofflaws to stay.

A deal is certain eventually. Let’s get tax caps (and an explicit individual right to bear arms and use them responsibly [unless you’ve been convicted of a felony by a state court or federal court if the felony was committed on federal property]) in the Constitution.

Only a mental defective would vote for Hillary.

The question thus becomes, “How many Americans are insane?”

And there are many blacks who realize Hispanic immigrants are taking their jobs, as well as taking up resources in the public schools via bilingual education. That’s totally separate from the Mexicans edging out blacks as the catered to minority in many areas.
And many Hispanic American citizens know that immigrants compete for their jobs, while illegal aliens just arriving undercut their wages.

This is why around a quarter of blacks and Hispanics are supporting Trump, though most are still on the Democrat plantation.

"Every White male 18 and over better get to the polls and vote this time or they will have no future in this country. It is the wet dream of every slice of the Democrat voting base to eradicate White men, so get off the sofa and desk chair, register and VOTE. It really may be your last shot at making a difference."

That is the absolute truth.

The infamous Republican ‘Autopsy’ after the 2012 election that concluded that Republicans could never win again with very high Hispanic support, and that the only way to get that support was by supporting Amnesty. That was TOTAL BULLSHIT and they knew it at the time.

The ONLY PURPOSE of that ‘Autopsy’ was to convince Republicans in the future that the ONLY WAY to TOTALLY IGNORE their voters and bring in the hordes of cheap labor (and outsourcing) that their BIG MONEY DONORS DEMAND. It had absolutely nothing to to with winning. They didn’t care...the only thing they feared was a DONALD TRUMP type calling their bluff...but they figured that the donors would keep their arms twisted.

Almost worked, except that a certain DONALD TRUMP did run.

Oh well.
