In 1981, I was on R&R in Tunisia from Saudi Arabia. We were staying at a very nice hotel on the Med. Because of good planning, we got there on Day One of Ramadan. After I got the family settled, I went down to the bar for a drink. I got into a conversation with the Tunisian barman. As he was serving me my adult beverage, he mentioned that a lot of Tunisian moslems participate in Ramadan in that country by waiting until after sundown until they have their first glass of vin rouge.
