I’m wondering if people here have an opinion, like me, whether Rubio is more slippery like an eel, or slippery like a snake.

Have not seen any polls yet but I’m guessing Trump will go up.....he’s most likely right in that this case is politically motivated!!!

Oh no now Trump will only get 34% of Hispanic votes and that will — oh wait that’s all he needs. Sorry Dondee get lost. this is why you didn’t draw flies in the primaries.

“He leaves key points unsaid - kind of like a test to see who is with him or against him.”

Great point. I couldn’t quite figure out why he didn’t say La Raza but I thought there was a reason. Yours is a good one. Trump is smart and I just don’t believe he would be saying these things in a way that he could’ve easily been said different unless there was a reason.

Here we were thinking Newt as a possible VP pick and Rubio maybe warming to Trump now this. Better to know now of their TRUE loyalties than later.

There is not a whole lot of respect left for the judiciary in any event. They have abused their illegitimate power to much. And they are biased.

I think that's exactly what Trump should've said: The public as a whole doesn't have respect for the judiciary anymore. We've seen how they abuse their power, how they manipulate the laws to match their own world view, and then ram how they think down our throats.

Abortion.

"Gay Marriage."

Obamacare.

Government Bailouts of the Banks.

Auto industry bailouts.

Voter ID being repealed in many states.

Upholding illegal EPA "mandates."

And a whole lot more ....

No wonder people don't respect the courts anymore!

Judge Curiel, based on his appearance, has a predominance of European ancestry, not unlike many Hispanics of the upper classes and in entertainment. He is far more a "white Hispanic" than George Zimmerman, the center of a major controversy after he killed Trayvon Martin in self-defense. No doubt even Cameron Diaz would be accepted by La Raza if she spouted the right clichés.

Race hustling, whether by blacks, Hispanics, or American Indians, is despicable.

Interesting to see the reaction here, still, to Rubio. I was a Rubio supporter (past tense). It is not timely to defend that and I agree to not criticize Trump here. But the policy here is to support Trump and Trump’s position since Rubio’s dropout has been to make nice with Rubio. Many Trump ‘followers’ here are not following that. The hatred for Rubio continues. I didn’t support gang of 8 and Rubio acknowledged he was wrong on that, whether people believe that or not. The Christian idea of forgiveness is often not apparent in the comments.

In the case of Trump mis-steps along the way which are sure to come for any candidate, are we better off to blindly support all that he says or to give guidance back to the candidate as he refines his message over the next 5 months until the election?

Trump’s policy toward Rubio and other past rivals and their supporters is to unite. The view of the most vocal here is to continue to divide. I resectfully ask who is more out of step, those who openly criticize the candidate on an individual issue or statement or those who still attack ad hominem on anyone who does that?

I watched a ten minute interview that Judge Jeanine did with Trump about this, and I think he handled it well, but for some reason did not mention La Raza, which I felt was a rhetorical blunder...I have been wondering if he has some strategical reason not to mention it yet.

My thinking is that Trump's MO is to let pot come to a boil and then shut it down with the relevant facts. I think we could hear the door slam on this tonight in his victory press conference.

Trump in his usual clumsy amateur hour style steps on his pecker once again. Why didn’t he just talk about the La Raza connection instead of just calling him a Mexican which he is not. A few more comments like that and Hillary will waltz to the presidency indictment or not.

A lot of these insipid Repubs were just looking for an opportunity to withdraw their support hoping for a wave of withdrawals and voila usurp his presumptive status at the convention. It won’t happen of course.

Agreed. He needs his people to spread the word now. Just checked CNN and another guy trying to present some kind of defence of his comments doesn’t point out the judge’s relationship to that racist organization.
