Donald Trump is directly opposed to the freedoms of our employees in the United States and around the world, CEO Jonah Peretti wrote. BuzzFeed has terminated a deal with the Republican National Committee to run political advertisements in the fall, the companys CEO, Jonah Peretti, informed employees Monday morning.
In an email, Peretti cited Donald Trumps rhetoric and campaign promises as the reason for the decision to terminate the buy, worth $1.3 million according to a source who spoke with Politico.
Earlier today, BuzzFeed informed the RNC that we would not accept Trump for President ads and that we would be terminating our agreement with them, Peretti said. The Trump campaign is directly opposed to the freedoms of our employees in the United States and around the world and in some cases, such as his proposed ban on international travel for Muslims, would make it impossible for our employees to do their jobs.

I am bothered with the full-court press attack on Trump, that even includes Gingrich. Something's up or just same-old?
Buzzfeed = Terrorists before Trump.
I missed where Trump opposed the rights of their employees?
The long-anticipated media pivot now that the nomination is clinched. I hope he anticipated it and knows how to handle it.
Space was reserved on many platforms, but we never intended to use BuzzFeed, Spicer said, adding, It is ironic that they have not ruled out taking money from a candidate currently under investigation by the FBI.
I'm sure they are talking about the right to be in the US illegally and the right to work for terrorist organizations. That's what the founders should have put in the constitution instead of that boneheaded 2nd amendment. Oh, I almost forgot, the right to free stuff paid for by "the rich" - that should be in there, too. /sarc
If Buzzfeed accepts any advertising from the Democrats or on behalf of any PAC from whoever their candidate is, look for a major lawsuit from the RNC that will cause the FEC to look at rules concerning advertising access for websites.
It’s kind of ironic, because while the FEC enforces advertising access on television and radio because of the licensing of stations, the internet has always been a question mark in terms of what the government can enforce. However, now that Net Neutrality is law of the land and the internet is subject to regulation as a utility, that ambiguity flies out the door.
So a baker must making a gay wedding cake?
But an Advertiser can refuse to take an advertisement?
seems some pigs are more equal than others
It is kind of nice to see a leftist organization take itself out. There are many alternate sources for political ads.
I don’t know what else to say except, “F—k Fuzzbeed!”
It's like that scene where the boss says, "you're fired" and the employee says, "you can't fire me, I quit."
Buzzfeed was on a list of potential advertising markets. The Trump Campaign decided NOT to use Buzzfeed.
Buzzfeed reacted by stating they refuse to host ads for Trump.
oh yes, Buzzfeed, the number one purveyor of transvestism, open borders, and Muslimism. yep.
