Two Brooklyn moms took “tough love” to a new level Friday, turning their teenage daughters in to the cops after one recognized them in a wanted photo in the beating of a 78-year-old straphanger.
The girls, ages 15 and 16, had allegedly pounded Nora Trotman on a Bedford-Stuyvesant subway platform the previous day — because she had asked the girls to remove their feet from a seat on a Manhattan-bound C train, police said.
“Shut the f–k up!” the older girl, Jazmine Watson, snarled as detectives walked her out of the transit precinct in Coney Island.
Thanks to their moms’ detective work, Watson is now charged as an adult with felony assault, and her younger pal is charged with assault as a juvenile.
The two moms “were probably offended like anyone else” who heard about the senseless attack, one law-enforcement source said.
“And when they recognized their daughters, they were probably appalled.”
The senior citizen had been on the same train as the two girls and their friends at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, and had asked one of them to remove her feet from a seat so she could sit down, police said. But instead of complying politely, the two followed her as she exited the train at the Franklin Avenue station.
They allegedly attacked Trotman, punching and kicking her multiple times, including in the head and face.
They then escaped by boarding another train — but not before their images were captured on surveillance video.
Trotman, who family said had been going to her physical therapist, was rushed to the hospital. She was treated for cuts and bruises and released.

And dont people know at this point that there are cameras everywhere, and if not, EVERYONE has a camera now on their phone?
Not like the good old days, 25 years ago, when me and my fellow livery driver friend used to fill our tanks while the middle eastern guy slept :) Not all the time but every few months.
That made up for the NY gas taxes.
They are smart enough to realize what they will be facing if they make it to 78 as well. The penal system is the last chance for these poor excuses of daughters to straighten up and fly right.

Didn’t think so. Herein is the root of the problem.
I guess I can say thanks to the moms for standing up here but my children (22, 19, and 17) would never consider beating someone or cursing at them. They may be irritated by someone and they would just move away. They would defend themselves (and each other) but never start anything like this.
I am proud of my children and glad that they are better people than I am. My wife and I have made a concentrated effort to raise better people than we were (not that we would have done anything like this either).
I just see too many parents that don’t seem to care what their children do, how they are raised, who they are involved with until it is too late.
No child just develops into anything without influence and training ... NO ONE
WE ALL are a product of what we have been part of during our lives and I firmly believe EVERYONE gets good influence during their lifetime
Bad people reject the good God places in their path
I wouldn’t want a daughter (or son) who would do that to an elderly person. I can’t stand the “keeps it real” ideal some people have, to remove all civility from their behavior so that they live like rabid dogs, reacting with hostility to anything that displeases them. I hope a little time in the hoosegow will teach them respect. Good mamas.

I know lol!! Theft is not a valued trait on FR but i was young and crazy, like many of us.
One time after the middle eastern guy at another place filled my tank, i took off while he was taking the hose out. Would just get a replacement cap off another car while driving around at night.
Poor middle eastern guys back then. So easy to take advantage of. Mostly indian, i think

I WILL praise these Moms for at least doing something that HAD to be done, unfortunately a little late to keep familial peace, but in the long run, perhaps yeilding peaceable fruit
