I was listening and the first thing that came to my mind was the entire GOPee party's attitude of "Just settle the issue - we may have to cave to boy king and his RATs - after all the most important fight is the next election!! AND we certainly don't want to be blamed for "shutting down the precious Government"

This is one of the reasons I unregistered as a "R" in 2006 after voting 99.9% "R" for 40 years.
