The Veep choice is chosen according to what state is needed to help win the election.
Texas is a red state.
The frightening part is that this puts Johnny K. from Ohio in the running....
This may have been true in past elections to a degree but I don’t believe Trump fits the mold so to speak and will make the selection based on different criteria.......
How long has it been since a VP was chosen to bring along a state? If bringing along a swing state was doable, every VP candidate would be from Florida.
It sure seems that these days a VP is meant to appeal to an ideological sub-group in the party.
