Businessman Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, has endorsed Renee Ellmers in her Congressional primary.
Ellmers faces fellow Rep. George Holding and Cary doctor Greg Brannon.
Early in-person voting is over but voters go to the polls on Tuesday to settle Congressional and state Supreme Court primaries across North Carolina.

Say it ain’t so Donald! I have noticed that since her last bumpy primary she actually ahas an A- from numbers usa. But I still wouldn’t trust her.
Id prefer Holding. Ellmers thinks she solving the world’s problems.
Id rather a rich guy like Holding who doesnt do much.

I support Trump but that is a bad decision. Elmers turned on the tea party who elected her as soon as she got to DC. Dr Brannon is a true Constitutional conservative but speaks on a level that the average person can’t follow. That leaves Holding not a great candidate either.

It will be bad if she loses anyway for Trump in attacking Republican congress members.

She was the first congresswoman to endorse him, back when he was a pariah. With Trump it probably is a case of first come, first served.

Trump has let Leader McCarthy & Bimbo-in-line-of-succession that they need to let his agenda come to a vote or The Trump Organization digs up the bodies.
A bunch of women who happen to be idiots are always paraded with House Leadership: Cathy McMorris-Rodgers, Renee Ellmers among others are there.
He also wants to endorse a woman.
Exactly. She was the first woman to endorse Trump. Trump values loyalty amongst all else. When President Trump needs something in 2017, Renee Ellmers owes him. This is how it works, except it’s been so long since we’ve had a leader, we’ve forgotten what it looks like. Holding is more conservative but it doesn’t appear he’s ever endorsed Trump or said anything one way or the other. Kudos to Ellmers for endorsing him early.
Maybe we will hear Ellmers attack Nikki Haley & Paul Ryan in the future.
The other congressmen in other districts have wimped out in taking a stand. So did teh guy from Indian running push polls saying Cruz was flogging Trump to get Club For Growth & Freedomworks money.
The indiana tea party guy didnt endorse Trump. It didnt matter anyway he lost by 30 points.
