““Your border crossed us”

I asked my brother, who is a sort-of historian, whether we took Mexican land away from them a long time ago. He said no, that there was no border at all between Mexico and America when we drew our border.

My best friend has been married for over 30 years to a woman of Hispanic origin whose family has lived in New Mexico for hundreds of years. Her father, grandfather, her uncles, her brothers, and her husband have all served in the United States military. Everyone in her family that I have met loves this country and thank God that the border was drawn South of where their family has lived. None of them appreciate illegal aliens coming across the border and stealing what they have earned with blood and sweat.

Mexico agreed to, and is a signatory of the current borders of Texas, California and New Mexico as specified in the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
