When you have a big event—you are supposed to pre-cool the room; otherwise the A/C systems will never catch up with the heat load
When I ran office buildings I would have the engineers crank up the A/C on Monday mornings in the warm weather at 5:00 am,because the systems were off during the weekends
Come in at 7:30 am—nice and cool
