Politico ^ | June 1, 2016 | Hanna Trudo

“I felt a shudder down my spine yesterday watching Donald Trump's fusilade against the press. This is not a moment to be trifled with. It wasn't his first tirade and it won't be his last,” the former CBS Evening News anchor said in a seven-paragraph post, which has already been shared more than 12,000 times.

Rather went on to decry the “dirty, nasty election” and warn of "violence" if Trump is left unchecked...

Tingles and shudders in various media body parts.

No fan of Trump, but the media has maxed out their credibility credit card. Dan Rather became old, but skipped the acquisition of wisdom along the way.

“I felt a shudder down my spine yesterday watching Donald Trump’s fusilade against the press.

If you did not understand that a majority of Americans have felt exactly that way for a number of years you are not much of a journalist are you?

Dan saw how much press the “tingle up my leg” comment got, so he has come up with his own version. He is just trying to stay visible. Poor Dan.

Let me translate Danspeak:

“This is not a moment to be trifled with”.

Translation: Trump has guts. He is not the usual slimebag politician we can keep under our thumb.

“Never let them scare you”.

Translation: We control the message. Never forget that.

“Winds of discontent”

Translation: With the Internet a well-informed public is beginning to understand we are a pack of propagandists and liars.

“It is about protecting our most cherished principles”

Translation: One world government is our goal. Trump is the enemy. Attack, attack, attack...

“The pen is mightier than the sword”

The best defense is a strong offense. This is war, and as Churchill said, we are well protected by a bodyguard of lies. So start unleashing the barrage of lies, people!

The point is that the press is held in lower regard than Congress...so the voters will stand by Trump in his attack on the press.

And keep in mind, Trump's attack on the press is not an attack on the 1st Amendment. It is a demonstration of it...an exercise of free speech against a pack of liars..

“I felt a shudder down my spine yesterday watching Donald Trump's fusilade against the press. This is not a moment to be trifled with. It wasn't his first tirade and it won't be his last,”...

Dan Rather needs to look for and understand the truth in Trump's statements about the corrupt press, then apologize and repent. Trump is joined by tens of millions of Americans who understand that the press lying to the public is a basic betrayal of a vital survival function in a democratic republic, a true stab in the back.

Rather and his ilk have been stabbing the public in the back for many, many years. It is a genuine vast, left wing conspiracy.

Violence by whom? This is becoming ridiculous. I’m hearing, “Either vote for our corrupt, completely evil candidate Hillary/Sanders, or there will be violence. It’s time for a revolution.

Is that the same as a tingle up his leg?

No. For Dan, the tingle up his leg would be when Fidel speaks.

As a Vietnam vet I thank your father for his service & for confirming what a lot of us suspected (I flew helicopters), that the media was not on our side & regarded the enemy as noble if somewhat misguided “agrarian reformers”.

Anyway, if Gunga Dan is upset, then this is a good thing.

Mr. Rather, allow me to be the first on this thread to say your phony, catfish @ss was busted right here on this very forum.

Get out of the way and find a comfy place and wait on God.
