So, if the idiot stick were hit by a car, i wonder who he’d sue? Dumb, dead, and blind is no way to go through life, son.
One time before I retired on our way back from a call during a busy late night I decided to buy my crew ice cream cones for jobs well done. The McDonalds in our district was open, but only their drive-through. The fire truck of course will not fit through the drive through. I knocked on their door, one of the employees came to it and refused to take our order and said we couldn’t use the drive through either. I was just going to give up, but a car with three women on their way back from the Casino apparently saw my long face as I left the McDonald’s door. They bought us all ice cream cones and refused to take our money.
I talked to the manager about it afterwards and he said that it violated McDonalds policy and they would get in trouble if they served someone in the drive through without a motor vehicle.
Last and only time I walked up to the bank drive-thru they refused me also.
1) This lawsuit is absolutely as absurd as they come.
2) McDonalds may as well surrender now, as they have absolutely not a prayer of winning this.
Thank You, George Herbert Walker Bush and the Americans with Disabilities Act!!!
So? It's a "drive-thru" not a "walk-up" service. All pedestrians are barred from patronizing the restaurant's drive-thru. That's McDonald's call to make.
McDonald's a business, not a social service!
If they can't refuse such service to him they can't refuse it to anyone - it's amazing how many "blind" customers will begin ordering like this.
“Blind Louisiana Man Sues McDonald’s for Refusing Him Drive-Thru Service”
What did he do, ask the guy to check the oil and fill ‘er up with Ethyl?
I guess McD’s rules must vary a bit around the country because I’ve seen motorcycles, bicycles, people on horseback, and Amish buggies at their drive-thrus.
Blind or Legally Blind?
If he was completely Blind they could have told him he was Wendy’s.
A better idea is to due the US government for printing bills that are not ada-compliant. Counting money is the abslutely quintessential american entertainment that nobody should be denied.
What happens if they’re deaf and blind?
What happens if they’re just deaf? Do I keep blowing my horn or do I get out to push them along?
