My Father in law built and owned 11 McDonalds. Sold them and retired. His “kids” (all in their 50’s) inherited large sums. Except for his “hippy, dirt ball, liberal” daughter. She lives in a cabin in VT and claimed to never need or want money. She’s never worked. Her Father sent her money to survive. When he died she got nothing because, and this was the sole reason, she never once even sent him a Thank You card for his gifts. She tried to sue his estate and lost. She’s finally on her own.
The hypocrisy is both sad & hilarious.
This reminds me of an old Smothers Brothers skit (boy, I'm dating myself) where a hippie chick is describing her commune's way of life. "We share everything, yada yada yada."
The interviewer asked, "What do you do for any major purchases?"
She laughs, "Oh, I use my Diner's. My dad's loaded."
