Exactly. They all fade. He’s just a parking spot for anti Trump and some anti Clinton voters at the moment. Perot faded, John Anderson was polling 26% at one point. Johnson will get 1% like the Libertarians always do.

John Anderson got 7% which is more than the difference in many elections, Presidential or otherwise.

Perot put Bill Clinton in the White House.

Perot tipped the scales in Clinton's favor in Montana, Nevada, Maine, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania (which was a contested Red/Blue state in those days) West Virginia, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, Georgia, Colorado and New Mexico, and almost tipped South Dakota to Clinton as well.

Perot did not fade. Trump needs to get out in front of this, because a 10% draw down of Independents is exactly what she needs. The Clintons have played this card before, we need to take nothing for granted.
