This case is a perfect candidate for jury nullification.
Most people don’t know about the concept of jury nullification so, if you have friends that actually answer jury summons, tell them about it.
I have to admit that I have never served on a jury because I have never been dumb enough to respond jury summons delivered by regular mail. I do so becaus any jury summons that is not “served” directly to you by an agent/officer of the court is not a legally binding instrument. This is true of photo radar tickets. If they don’t play by the law why should I play by the “rules” they make up that save them money and effort that trick citizens into compliance.
I like the way you think. But does that vary from state to state? (I got one of those "photo tickets" driving through Maryland...)
