This is a day off in a very busy schedule.
I have been searching for a FrontPage website programmer to work with me, but all I find is legacy information about FrontPage.
I KNOW I need to change platforms, but right now I need to use the platform I have. I am selling my columns nationally and need the website to back up the sales.
When I have the resources, I will change things.
Is there any way I can search for FrontPage Programming? Is there any group that I can find who might have some legacy programmers in it?
I am not having any luck at all so far.
I need someone with skills! I also need to know the going rate.
I am guessing somewhere around 80-100 per hour or on a per job estimate.
Please help?

Just curious, why do you believe you need Frontpage to manage the website? There are plenty of free tools to accomplish that task.

I need someone to make some page changes and repair some issues.
That someone is not me.
When I managed the page previously I could do updates, add pages and link them. But the structure itself and its few bells and whistles need a pro.
Check out odesk.com. Whenever I have obscure programming or tech needs I’ve used it several times and it’s awesome.
I tell people it’s a cross between monster and ebay where you’re searching for people based on a skillset and you an read their reviews from other people. Basically anybody (including yourself) can put your resume out there with your rate and people from all over the world contact you for work, or vis versa.
I have used it for everything from telemarketing resources to programming. Good friend of mine used it for helpdesk and another friend used it for architect work to convert pdf’s to drawings.
I used to teach FrontPage and modify themes. I sent you my contact info by FReepmail.
Fiverr and Elance (or Upwork?) where you can find such skills.
This is now Sharepoint Designer. Look for that.

I would suggest you try Ebay or some websites that sell out-of-date software disks.
I use FrontPage98 for just the editor to modify htm’s for FR.
I do not use the other FP98 features, because I cannot get them to run under Win7 — not even with the Win7 compatibility feature, which never seemed to work anyway.
If you are seriously wanting to go back to FP, you may also have to go to an XP machine.
IIRC, I could not do an ‘install’ under Win7, so I just copied the old XP directory — and had to do some fanagling to get the Editor to work.
If your website is fairly extensive, you might be better off finding a newer software and taking the time to learn it and convert the old FP files.
If you pay money, you would be smart to have whoever does it GET IT OFF FRONTPAGE. Frontpage is a discontinued, poor technology by Microsoft.
If you continue to use it, you will be prone to hacks, higher prices to edit it, and no future compatibility.

Hire someone to get your site off of FrontPage - it’s not 1999 anymore.
If you want to be able to manage it yourself, migrate to WordPress as a CMS.
(AND NOT Wordpress.com)
I will as soon as I can, but in the meantime....
I tried it and it is called upwork now. So far I had 23 notifications from people in the Ukraine and India.
