This article is a weird throwback to that short window of time when some thought Cruz was actually relevant. I’m amazed anyone still thinks that way. Cruz self-immolated like a monk covered in gasoline.

““I think Cruz’s theme will be to say, `You’re the nominee, but I’m the party”

Cruz is NOT the party. The people of the party selected Trump, by having voted for him.

Cruz is just an ambitious, egotistical opportunist who doesn’t care about party or country, only himself. He is also stupid — he seems to think he will have another chance, if Hillary gets elected.

Conservatives need to ask themselves, do they really want Cruz as their standard-bearer?

“This man is a pathological liar,” Cruz said of Trump. “He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth.”

Project much? Shamelessly, Ted.

I doubt Trump needs Cruz that badly.

Cruz and Levin are enablers. The people will never forget. Ivory tower fakers. Donald has really exposed them. Wow.

Er, no.

Trump does not need Cruz. Cruz’s supporters will either back Trump or back Cankles. That’s the choice. There is no other.

Trump needs Cruz to get with the program. That’s all.

May, might, could and similar bs verbs, mean the author/authors are posing their chicken scratching as a real article.

From Politifact:
“Spokespersons for Trump’s campaign and the RNC told PolitiFact Florida that all of the GOP candidates signed a pledge, but they wouldn’t answer additional questions.
The pledge came up after Trump’s comments at the first GOP debate on Aug. 6, when Trump said he wouldn’t rule out a third-party run.
The pledge reads:
“I (name) affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party.”
The one-page document included spots for signatures from RNC chairman Reince Priebus and the candidate. Trump held a press conference at Trump Tower in Manhattan on Sept. 3 to announce he had signed the pledge (which was mistakenly dated Aug. 3, although Trump later tweeted a corrected copy).”

Sore loosers Yeb Bush and Felito Cruz both broke their word.
This is a good example of why I hate the GOP-e: they’re liars.

“If he does not endorse and Trump loses, Cruz gets to step out on Nov. 9 and say, ‘See what I said,’ ” said Evans, a member of the Republican National Committee’s Rules Committee who, as chairman of the Republican National Lawyers Association, stayed neutral in the race.

If he does not endorse and Trump loses, Cruz gets to step out on Nov. 9 and say, "See, I caused that!"

"Now I'm the most repugnant pariah in the history of the Republican Party."

If Hillary wins, there is no next election. If a democrat follows Obama, freedom is dead, America is dead, and the next election will be decided by the 11 million undocumented democrats who will become 25 million voting citizens. If Trump does not win, free Americans should follow the advice on “if you wish for peace”.

Levin is a stupid, beyond delusional, nasty little man, and so too are those who write, post, and believe this drivel!

Trump doesn't "need" Cruz now and never did. Cruz is visionless, a lousy debater, an old fashioned pol using very old dirty tricks and lies that sunk him and destroyed him and his political future, for good and all. The very few remaining rabid, drooling sycophants, of his, are still blind and deaf to reality. Perhaps one day, they may come out of this state, but I doubt it. Pity that......LOL

I will direct people to Ted Cruz’s NY values comments and the selection of Snarly Carly as a running mate. I’ve never seen a more short sighted canidate.

Lots of dreaming and bitterness visible in this thread.

If that is a picture of the real world, we are in deep doo-doo.

Time for cold showers.

Cruz’s theme will be to say, `You’re the nominee, but I’m the party. You’re the name on the ballot, but I’m the one who represents, who epitomizes what it means to be a Republican.’”

No, Ted. You are not the party. You lost the primaries, when Republicans voted against you.

You may be the face of the Republican ESTABLISHMENT, which is under the delusion that THEY, not the people they depend upon to vote, are the Party. Their delusions will be corrected in due time. By whatever means necessary.

Loving to see FreeRepublic using Alinski tactics against Ted Cruz.
. It’s not enough to simply lie about your opponent. You must attack him where he has his greatest strength. If his appeal is that he is a good man, who keeps his word, loves his family, etc., then that’s exactly where he must be discredited. Alynski credits Lucifer in his book as one of the inspirations for his theory, and I can see why. Defamation is an evil on the same level as murder and adultery. They all made the 10 Commandments. Something to consider before going down that dark path.
