If I want to know what is happening with friends and relatives I learn more looking at facebook than in real life. I know as much by looking at friends comments and pictures as I do by looking at the people I know. If they do not post for a while, I know something unusual is going on. There is no way I have an interest in posting about every move I make in life for all to see but I sure learn a heck of a lot by looking at others facebook pages because there is always at least one family member who loves to document every thought, move and emotion on facebook including the food they ate for lunch. A lot of men don’t have facebook accounts but their wives and daughters do. They have no clue how much information is being given out every day on them unless they go and check.

Life is weird.

In the olden days there was a thing called a diary. It came with a lock and key (are they still available?). People wrote in it and hid the diary under their mattress for fear that mom would find it. Ah yes, there was also a thing called a journal for the more sophisticated bunch.

Nowadays, instead of writing, they photograph every aspect of their lives and post it to the entire world. Mom doesn’t even have to enter the bedroom and look for the diary anymore. The internet is a wonderful babysitter.

Times are strange.

Here’s a novel idea.....how about saving your money & leaving possible potential customers alone instead of harassing them with idiotic commercials.

Just tell people that you’re not interested in what your friends had for dinner and that you’re pretty sure nobody cares about the details of your life either.

I just tell ‘em I can’t be bothered and don’t really have any interest.
