I’ve always been impressed by their NUCLEAR POWERED ICEBREAKERS. We believe in ‘peace’ so therefore we have crappy icebreakers, relatively speaking.

Invasion route to Amerika. Its called the Artic Plain. Get the frozen oil problem, the cab heaters, and warm field kitchens and away you go. Its not mentioned much, but its like the northern plain of Europe with ice.

Here's another good Cold War era miniseries. Soviets threatening the Trans Alaska Pipeline over the 1980 grain embargo. Rock Hudson is the President in this one. Alaska National Guard has the first engagement with the Soviets. Things go downhill from there.

"As lead up to the North Pole voyage, we enter through a high-security nuclear facility, home to some of Russia’s nuclear submarines, prior to boarding the ship 50 Years of Victory. Victory has two nuclear reactors, capable of producing 74,000 horsepower!"
