Donald Trump announced this weekend he puts 15 states potentially into play in the general election this year.

The states include: — Ohio — Florida — Virginia — Minnesota — Michigan — Pennsylvania — Wisconsin — New York — Maine — California

** Plus Donald Trump is beating Hillary Clinton in the latest Oregon poll and is essentially tied with Hillary in New Hampshire -two more traditional blue states.

And Hillary Clinton hasn’t even been indicted yet!

Most of the newsies/pundits/commentators had Indiana in the Cruz column, but apparently Trump had some internals indicating he would win — and he did — BIG.

Maybe he has some internals in some of the major EV count states that show in his favor.

Of course, the real campaign between Trump and the Dem hasn’t started yet. It will be interesting to see which way the polls go once the Dem nominee is selected.

And then there is the Kristol mystery selectee who is expected to win it all — or maybe get 1 EV.

Yes, that is a terrific point. If Cal and NY are in play then the dems will have to spend money to win them. That is a great position for Trump to be in.

I look at the upcoming Election this way.

After Obama won in 2008, I figured it was simply because of the constant drumbeat of Iraq War added to the 2007 Financial Meltdown. Bush let it all fall down and did nothing to fight back against the Liberal propaganda hurled against him. He did himself no favors and the die was cast.

I have no illusion that an Electorate that inflicted Obama on us not once but twice would have no problem putting Hillary or any other DemoncRat in the White House come November.

Since I have low expectations based on Historical facts, if Trump actually gets Elected POTUS my excitement will equal my childhood memory of visiting Disneyland for the very first time.

If he doesn’t win, it’s just another day added to the last eight years of Hell on Earth.

Nothing, and I mean nothing surprises me anymore.

It’s silly to focus on NY or CA...wasted money and time.If focusing solely on states that Romney barely won and barely lost gets Trump to 269 then that’s what should be done.

Respectivefuly disagree with I work in Santa Monica very very few Hillary Supports. The ones who are used to piping off and getting an amen chorus are getting crickets. This very Friday a guy went off on Donald making fun of him - nobody chimed in.

Maybe he doesn't win but he going force her to spend resources here.

The Coal issue can win Trump Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. If he hits that hard and reminds everyone over and over Hillary has promised to put coal miners out of work I think he can roll up all three.

We got to this point, by people bailing, moving out or quit voting, in states that started being taken over by Dems. Can’t change that if we don’t stand firm and put up a fight.

Repubs living in those states don’t want to be considered lost! If they are willing to fight, Trump is the sort of guy to fight along with them to victory!

One thing is for sure— he’s going to work his butt off to get these states.

This also means that the Dems are going to have to use resources to win in what they previously thought were "safe" states.

Look, you all... *sigh* This is just poking the finger in the eye of the punditry ... no one believes Trump is going to take NY or CA nor does he need to ... Those states need to stay blue anyway so they can be punished appropriately (at least NYC and CA).

Trump needs Ohio - OHIO OHIO OHIO - and that's all he needs.

You have to understand, the states will peel off in tiers according to Trump's overall performance ... IF he takes Ohio, that means he took IA, VA and FL as well, and so it looks much like Bush's '04 map (meaning he will take IA an hour later - and by the way if Trump takes NH [first-to-report] it's waaay over). That's the play, anyway, by the people in charge.

However, should PA be razor-close, and I mean count-the-ballots close, then Trump will have a realistic chance to flip WI and MI, and later CO and NV.
