There are a few pockets of recovery there, led by General Motors' headquarters in the Ford built Renaissance Center. Quicken Loan's headquarters, a growing arts culture, and more help, too. There certainly is a devastating vacancy of dead, abandoned, defunct auto company skeletons, led by the vacant Packard plant, though there may be a glimmer of hope for even that. It is corruption, though, among the Democrat elites that limits Detroit's return.
President Obama should have toured Detroit, rather than Hiroshima, if he wanted to see real devastation. It is caused by Democrat corruption, not atomic weapons.
