The interesting part is that if he is down in the polls by 7 or more points,

Earlier in the week Rush said the WaPo poll had him up by 2 points. That makes it a statistical dead heat.

The Donald has a plan regardless of what people think.

And this poor-poor-pitiful-Trump story is probably part of the plan.

It was a given that Trump wasn’t going to entirely self-fund for the general. He said so repeatedly.

In their zeal to see Trump destroy the GOPe, I guess they weren't listening...

I’m trying to remember the “trick” Obama pulled with the funding. Said one thing then did another.

It’s usually retarded shills with selective attention eager to accuse Trump of “flip-flopping.”

Yes, absolutely. One of my first thoughts. People who are in the business of underestimating Trump are losing their asses.

Trump could if he chose kick in half a billion himself LESS what he gets in small donations from folks like us.

If you think Trump has a half a billion cash on hand or liquid assets...

You might want to pay a bit more attention...

I don’t see anything inconsistent with the RNC running the ground game and Trump financing campaign events. Why? The ground game is for everyone who’s running Republican and is part of their permanent voter data.

Totally agree.

I was always amazed at the early Trump supporters who thought Trump would actually be able to go this whole thing alone because they thought he didn't need the RNC or the GOP support...

Sorry, you don't win the POTUS without tremendous support and financial backing...

One of the delusions of the #NeverGetIt crowd is that Trump’s planning in anything he does is chaotic and haphazard.

Trump never said he was going to self fund the general election. Only his primary campaign, which he did and was very efficient at it. Why would he have to self fund the general when it’s the party he is representing?

Sounds like a pat excuse for those who refuse to invest anything to any cause because there's others out there to actually ante up.......Trump said he would not be beholden to anyone and rightly expects the Party who he is the nominee of to come through with financial support.

Cruz lost and he did himself in - get over it. Trump has stood by his words/intentions far more than anyone else in the race and if we want to keep Hillary out, we should expect that it is incumbent on us to donate to trump too. i donated some $500-$600 to Cruz before it became obvious it was he that couldn't run the lemonade stand. Then I began donating to Trump because he is the best hope we have. The more private citizens donate, the less other money would be required - have you done your part or are you just envious of someone who made it big?

You are such a wise person, so perceptive, it is truly amazing.

However, Trump early on, when asked the question of funding, stated that he would fund the primaries and the RNC would do the general.

I know that, you know that...

I'm really just commenting on the fact, I was roundly mocked and criticized by some Trump supporters when I mentioned the fact he will have to at some point work with the RNC and the GOPe...

That made me an idiot and stooge...

Diamond and Ailk are planning a birthday bomb to his website. Encourage others to donate on June 14 th DJT 70 birthday to Donald J Trump .com.
This way he will not be dependent in any way on RNC. We don’t have to be supportive of them and We The People support our candidate. Suggested amount was $125 or what ever one could afford

I thought I said he could borrow it. I am not privy to any inside info on his liquid assets since his is a privately held Corporation.

Why not tell me what you know about this?

Yes I meant that if I did not say it in that way. His own money would of course be on an “as needed” basis. I actually believe he will do quite well with individual donations.

I realize that as a good business man he would not be sitting on cash, especially in the low interest environment we have today. But that does not mean he could not borrow the cash using equity in some of the many, many properties he owns to one degree or another.
