They fail to understand the concept of process. For them ALL abortions, EVERY ONE must stop immediately and nothing else will do. That is simply not ever, barring direct Divine intervention, going to happen. Thus to refuse to vote for limits on abortion supported by a majority of Americans; because they don’t go far enough, they are condemned to ensuring that abortion on demand, at any point in the pregnancy, for a woman of any age, and paid for by tax payer dollars continues to be common and legal.
The extreme anti-abortion stance is, in effect supporting the laws as they are now. The hard line anti-abortion stance actually supports and enables the hard line pro-abortion stance by enabling the abortion providers to paint all those who are anti-abortion as being very radical.
Incidentally; it is life threatening for my wife to be pregnant due to a botched appendectomy by the British NHS when she was 10. She has a 13 inch scar on her lower abdomen that they were afraid would rupture under the weight of a baby. We were asked and cajoled by health care providers to abort each of our four children. I and my wife have actually put our belief where our mouth (Keyboard) is. You cannot be more oppossed to abortion than I or my wife.
