Yep, if it wasn’t for the Weather, this place would be the Northernmost Mexican State. I know, it’s pretty much that now.

I live in South Orange County, so I am surrounded by fairly sane people which gives me some Immunity. At least for now.

I can’t leave for various reasons. I do hope to live in a Free State someday, but I’m not sure when that day will come.

Before I bailed out, I lived in Ventura county, which should have been safe. But of course, the state laws trample over everything, so your local political flavor means squat.

About the only California counties that might be reasonable are those rural ones that the sheriffs have decided citizens do indeed have the right to be armed. It might come down to that.
