The thing is that most tourists to Greece....don’t stop off at Thessaloniki. It is one of the major hubs of Greece....a decent airport, and probably forty flights a day. It is one of the major cities of the country (380,000 residents).
This might generate some more tourist interest in the region. If you were looking for pretty hilly areas....this is it.
Now the Muslims will want to destroy it. Can’t have any vestiges of Western Civ. Offends Allah.
I met a girl once from Thessaloniki. She was beautiful and brilliant and conservative.
