If you get one of these scam calls, what a great opportunity to tell them about Jesus.

When a scammer calls, start using “NSA Codewords” in your conversation.

Carnivore is supposed to pick those up....

Trying to keep the scammers on line as long as possible. I kept Rebecc from credit card services on the phone for 16:04 minutes one time.

Probably did her a favor. No doubt a guy in a turban wielding a big stick is stationed behind her cubicle, monitoring her phone time.

I get about five messages a week from scammers that claim to be from the IRS threatening to sue me. You would think that they would just get tired of calling, but it’s been going on for several months. I would block the calls, but they come from a dozen different numbers.

Caller ID can be and is spoofed.

I was impressed when my number showed up on the caller ID. I didn't know whether to applaud their spoofing skills or laugh at their stupidity.

Or tell her that you recruit telemarketers for a living, and she is very talented. You want to talk to her about a new career opportunity.

On my cellphone I create a whitelist of callers, like this:

Install a silent ringtone (an mp3 with 10 to 30 seconds of silence).

I assign the silent.mp3 ringtone as my default ringtone.

To each of my phonelist contact I assign a real ringtone. They are the whitelist that rings the phone.

Any other number not on my phonelist gets the silent ringtone and doesn’t bother me. They can still leave a voicemail.

Unless its a number I know, I don’t pick up. I also continually rotate my ‘Blocked’ numbers.

“Also keep a stickie of the local FBI agent and office near your phone. When their recording asks for a call back number I gladly give ‘em the FBI.”

Brilliant :-)

We don’t get these calls; the few people we talk to on the ‘phone each have their own ringtones, so we know to pick up. Otherwise we just don’t answer. Legitimate callers leave messages.

I get a lot of these calls. So I answer as Dakota County Sheriff’s Department since my cell phone is still a 651 area code.
Or sometimes I say I will refer the matter to my associate Vito Sangirardi aka Vito the Expediter. Vito has no neck.

Had a jerk bill collector call us years ago from San Jose, Ca, and was unbelievably threatening. I told him ( wasn’t serious but acting ) that he chose the wrong people to threaten, that my brother and I would track him down, and bury him alive in the Santa Cruz hills. Funny, he never called again.

“I only pick up when I want to amuse myself by cranking someone.”

Ask him to “Put on the Chai wallah boy. You Bakrichod” (using an Indian accent)

The Chai Wallah is the server/boy who brings around tea in the call center. (low social status). Bakrichod is one who has carnal knowledge of goats.

That usually gets them to hang up or start cursing in Hindi then hang up.

I probably couldn’t do that

When I reset my computer wi fi connection there is an “FBI Surveillance Van #2” router that shows up. I need to be careful, they are very near
